DeltaThree.com is a review site. We collect very little about you. This page spells out exactly what we collect, where it goes, and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

Newsletter

If you sign up for The Dispatch, we keep your email address. That is the only field on the form. We store it in an audience at Resend, the email service we use to send the newsletter. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and clicking it removes you from the list.

Contact form

The form asks for your name, your email, a topic, and your message. Resend delivers it to our editorial inbox so we can reply. Nothing from the form is saved in a database.

IP address

When you submit either form, our server reads your IP address and counts submissions from it for about a minute to stop scripts from flooding the forms. The count lives in server memory and is then discarded. We do not write IP addresses to a database. The contact form also runs a few anti-spam checks: a hidden honeypot field, a timing check, a look at whether your email domain is a disposable one, and a count of links in the message. Those checks look at the submission, not at you.

Hosting logs

Vercel hosts the site and keeps ordinary request logs (URL, time, IP address, browser type) on its own systems for a short period. We look at them only when something breaks.

What we do not collect

We do not run analytics, ad networks, or tracking pixels, and there are no social media embeds. The site sets no cookies for readers. Our editors get a login cookie from Sanity, our content management system, when they sign in at /studio; readers never see it. We do not build profiles, and we do not know who you are unless you tell us.

Affiliate links

Many articles link to retailers through affiliate programs. When you click one, you leave DeltaThree and the retailer’s privacy policy applies from that point on. The link tells the retailer that you arrived from DeltaThree so we can earn a commission. It carries no name, email, or other information about you. Details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Services we rely on

Resend delivers the newsletter and contact-form messages. Vercel hosts the site. Sanity stores our articles and author profiles, not visitor data. Each of them works for us as a service provider and uses what passes through it only to provide that service.

Your California privacy rights

This section is for California residents and covers what the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) asks us to tell you. The rest of this policy applies too.

Categories of personal information

In the last 12 months we collected the following, and nothing else:

  • Identifiers: your email address (newsletter and contact form) and your name (contact form). Source: you. Purpose: sending the newsletter and replying to your message.
  • Internet or network activity: your IP address and the request details in Vercel’s hosting logs. Source: your browser. Purpose: rate limiting, spam prevention, and debugging.
  • Contact-form content: whatever you write in the message. Source: you. Purpose: replying to you.

We collect no sensitive personal information, no precise geolocation, and no financial information, and we draw no inferences about you.

Sale or sharing

We have not sold personal information in the last 12 months, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not do either now. That includes the personal information of anyone under 16.

Retention

Newsletter addresses stay in our Resend audience until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages sit in our editorial inbox for as long as we need them to handle your request, and you can ask us to delete them sooner. The IP counts used for rate limiting are dropped within about a minute. Vercel keeps its request logs briefly on its own retention schedule.

Your rights

California residents can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • delete it;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • opt you out of sale or sharing (we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still ask);
  • limit our use of sensitive personal information (we collect none).

We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

How to submit a request

Email hello@deltathree.com with the subject “Privacy request”, or use the contact form and choose “Something else”. Tell us which right you want to exercise. We respond within 45 days.

Verification

We match the email address you write from against the one we hold. If a request comes from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the one on file. Since the only information we have is an email, a name, and a message, that is normally all it takes.

Authorized agents

You can have someone else submit a request for you. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may still check with you directly before acting on it.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

The site runs no analytics or advertising code, so a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser has nothing to switch off here. We treat it as a valid opt-out request all the same. We do not change the site’s behavior in response to Do Not Track headers, because there is no tracking to disable.

Children

DeltaThree is not written for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If a child has sent us a message or subscribed to the newsletter, email us and we will delete it.

Shine the Light

California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents ask which personal information a business has disclosed to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to anyone for their direct marketing, so the answer is none. You can confirm this any time by writing to hello@deltathree.com.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect or how we use it, we will add a note on this page explaining what changed.
